How Homeschoolers Connect

If you’ve ever considered homeschooling but worried your kids would feel isolated or lack social interactions, you clearly haven’t met many local homeschooling families.

“The danger for homeschoolers is that you end up too busy,” says Alison Jakel, president of the Oregon Home Education Network (OHEN), a nonprofit supporting Oregon’s homeschooling community. In fact, she advises parents who are new to homeschooling to “make sure you carve out time in your week to be home.”
