Village Home is in session for three, 10-week terms between September and June. We are proud to be able to offer high-quality, engaging classes for such an affordable price. Some classes like lab science, art, and technology classes will be higher due to class material fees. In addition to classes, clubs, and competitive teams, we also offer field trips and workshops, parent enrichment programs, and travel opportunities. Village Home is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and relies on fundraising and donations from our families and friends to keep classes affordable and accessible, we typically provide over $30,000 in Financial Aid annually.
Tuition for Classes
Class tuition base price is $9 – $15/hour of instruction, depending on the subject and age group. Some classes like lab science, art, and technology classes may cost more due to material fees required to provide a high-caliber learning experience. Clubs, which tend to be more social in nature, start at under $4/hour and are led by volunteer parents.
Materials & Book Fees
Materials fees may be added to science, tech, and art classes ($5 – $20) to cover class-specific supplies or to cover the cost of a required text that is purchased on your behalf. In some cases, we will include an Amazon product link in the description and instruct you to purchase the text or product directly and bring it the first day of class.

Earn Discounts with Our Community Volunteer Program
To offer low tuition rates, we rely on community volunteer participation. We have a variety of tasks for volunteers to do at Village Home: from classroom assistants with a weekly commitment to one-time, short tasks. There is a way for everyone to be involved and help co-create our community. Some of our bigger commitment jobs, called Key Volunteer Duties, also have benefits such as tuition discounts and/or access to early registration.

Ways to Save on Tuition
We strive to keep tuition affordable. Here are some ways to save:
- Refer a friend. Earn $20 off a class if you refer a friend who signs up for the first time with Village Home for at least one class (does not apply to clubs). Then, you stop by the office to claim your $20 off coupon (credit) after the add/drop period.
- Apply for Financial Aid. Financial Aid applications are available starting July 1 for the current academic year. See the Financial Aid section below for details.
- Volunteer. Some Volunteers, like Club Leaders, earn tuition discounts.
Early Registration
Early Registration happens a few days prior to Regular Registration. Early Registration is available to faculty, staff, board, and some key volunteers. Families who were at Village Home in the previous year, register prior to new families.
Financial Aid
Applications will be reviewed starting in July of each year, and on a rolling basis throughout the year if funds are available. Annually, we usually provide over $30,000 in Financial Aid, in addition to tuition discounts for employees and some volunteers. Click here to complete the Financial Aid Application.
Diversity Awards
The Diversity Award, established with the generous support of Village Home parent, Shireen Hasan, is intended to promote involvement of learners who are historically underrepresented at Village Home. Asian, Black, Latinx, Hispanic, Native American, Pacific Islander, and LGBTQIA+ learners are eligible. This scholarship may supplement need-based aid for families. The scholarship funds are awarded for the entire academic year in per term amounts. The scholarship award is per student, and is not transferable between students and/or terms. The date for best consideration is July 15, but applications received after July 15 will be awarded as long as funds are available. Eligible applicants will be awarded scholarship funds on a first-come, first-serve basis. Apply here.
