Jan Black, Owner, The Black Brand, Portland, OR

Jan Black is an exuberant creator of scalable intellectual properties that advance the ability of people of all ages to be themselves and build what excites them.For example, she is currently co-designing an app, creating two empowerment revolutions, and shaping the message and brand of a future financial star. She recently completed development and edits of To The One, a book by client Marnie Freeman that has become an Amazon best-seller and Editor’s Pick. A commercially-published, best-selling author herself, Jan is also an artist, course designer, poet, songwriter, and speech, manifesto, and videoscript writer. She wraps words and images around people and ideas to make a point, turn heads, and spark action, using her signature soul to street approach. Jan is creatively devoted to the wizards of wonder who are shaping the emerging world, a population of dazzlers she calls The Darlings of What Can Be. Her work coaxes and materializes their brilliance, and everything she makes and co-creates delivers nurture, know-how, and opportunity to them.

Cathie Clifford, Owner CC Productions, Portland,  OR

For over thirty years, Cathie has worked in film and video as a creative editor, producer, interviewer and post production supervisor. Her work is currently presented in interpretive centers, museums, broadcast, online and live presentations across the United States.    A master storyteller, Cathie brings her eye for the ‘heart’ of a story and a well-practiced sense of poetry and design and to every production. Cathie is also a homeschool Mom and long time member of the Village Home community.  She sees Village Home as a vibrant example of a new and innovative direction in education.

 

Greg Evans, Founder & Executive Director of Seeds Training, San Diego, CA

An award-winning trainer, speaker, and storyteller, Greg Evans is experienced in training teachers, students, and parents. Since 1993 he has delivered Seeds programs in 16 countries around the world.  He has worked closely with researchers, authors, and curriculum designers to develop a unique blend of accelerated learning and experiential training and knows how to make learning fun. The programs are dynamic, fast-paced learning adventures that achieve staggering results in compressed time frames and consistently exceed expectations. He has worked with the world’s top educators to make game-changing training programs for over 50,000 educators and 1.4 million youth in 16 countries.

 

Renee Poindexter, Living the Potential Network, Principal Facilitator &  Chair, SelfDesign Foundation Board of Directors, Portland, OR

Renee Poindexter is the founder of Living the Potential Network, a collaborative of social entrepreneurs interested in designing authentic learning environments. She is a former high school English teacher who discovered the significance of learning in the world of business—over 25 years in a variety of industries—including technology, healthcare, financial services, construction, advertising and public relations, executive search, coaching, and consulting. An accomplished trainer, facilitator, success coach, and organizational consultant, Renee has worked with non-profit organizations, schools, and businesses to facilitate the positive changes needed to fulfill the organizational vision. Her background in continuous improvement has assisted her in designing programs to inspire people to lead with their heads and hearts connected. Renee is Chair of the SelfDesign Foundation in the United States. She serves as an Advisory Board member with Univera, Inc. and also with Village Home Education Resource Center. She is a mentor with WOVI, Women of Visionary Influence.

 Jeremy Stuart
President, 3 Story Films &  Editor/Producer,  Boise, ID

As an editor, Jeremy’s involvement in the television and film industry has spanned over 20 years. He has worked on hundreds of music videos, commercials, and corporate projects, as well as award winning documentaries and short films. Some of his clients have included Lucasfilm, National Geographic Channel, Smithsonian Channel, Yamaha, Virgin America, Sony Playstation, and the Dave Matthews Band. Class Dismisseda documentary about learning outside the classroom, is his directorial debut and took four years to make. He lives in Oakland and is the proud father of a ten year old daughter who is a self-directed learner.
