Join Lauren & Kathy at the Pippin House (Beaverton)for a relaxing evening of conversation, wine, hors d’oeuvres and delectable treats.
Fermentation Party, Sat April 29
Fermenting with friends is always more fun! Suzanne Jabaley (Portland) will teach you how to ferment your own vegetables. You’ll get to take home 2 quart jars of fermenting veggies to enjoy at home.
Leveling Up: The Basics of Beer Tasting, Sun, April 30
Spend an afternoon with homebrewing VH parents Claudia Scholtz and Bill Lewis (North Plains). Bill is a BJCP Judge who will teach you about tasting beer! Beer is much more than “hoppy”, “malty”, “light & dark”. Now level up and learn how a Beer Judge evaluates and describes beer by its look, aroma, taste and mouthfeel. Join us again, or for the first time on this tasting tour of classic beer styles! Beer tasting foods will also be provided.
Dad’s Poker Night, Sat, May 13
Take a seat at the table and try your luck against the dads of Village Home. Expect a night of pub style fare and friendly competition! Hosted by Richard Walker and Dan Mueller (Beaverton).
Dome Dinner, Sun, June 4
A Village home tradition. Join the Schmidt family in their unique dome home in Salem for an afternoon of gourmet food and delightful entertainment. The 5-course meal will feature local and organically grown produce and will be paired with wines from our Willamette Valley. We’re excited to have you join us for this fun afternoon.
Kids Pump It Up Party, Mon, June 5
Join your friends from Village Home at Pump It Up on Allen Blvd. It’ll be fun to bounce together as we’re headed into summer. Purchase a ticket for each jumper – adult supervision required during the event. Hosted by Kathy Pippin.
Kids Luau with Lucy, Mon, June 19
Come for tons of Luau fun with Lucy! We’ll spend the morning baking, crafting and hanging out with new and old friends. Lunch will be provided for our young guests. Hosted by Caren de la Cruz in SW Portland.
Pottery Painting Party, Sat, July 15
Join Village Home’s very own potter, Kristin Lake, as she guides you through painting one of her very own creations at her studio in Hillsboro. Spend the early evening relaxing on the patio, sharing stories and laughter as you put the finishing touches on a mug that will be fired and returned to you to enjoy year-round.
Moms’ Margarita Party
It’s a tradition… and it’s always a lot of fun! Sitting on the deck visiting, playing games and laughing with friends. As native Texans, the Walkers cook up an authentic Tex-Mex dinner at their home in Beaverton.
