Julia Mueller, a Village Home alum, was chosen as one this year’s Oregon Six— a Phi Beta Kappa honor reserved for the University of Oregon’s six most outstanding graduating students. Julia was elected to the Oregon Six for her exceptional grade point average and the breadth and rigor of her upper-division course work at the University of Oregon. Julia, a graduate of the Clark Honors College at University of Oregon, has done award-winning work in Journalism, English, French, and Creative Writing. Julia was exemplary beyond the classroom as Mock Trial president, the University’s newspaper Copy Chief, and as a writing coach in the Journalism school. She also authored several independent projects, one of which culminated in a book to be published in 2021. Julia’s graduate plans were put on hold because of the pandemic, a turn of events in our community’s favor because she will instead serve as Village Home instructor for the 2020-21 school year. Congratulations to Julia!
