Jessica Deltac

For six years, Jessica facilitated a weekly, year-round, project-based homeschooling venue in Los Angeles for 4-14 year olds ( Their loss was Village Home’s gain when her family relocated to Portland. With a gift for making the complex relatable, Jessica weaves stories, art, crafts, and books into her exploration of history, math, biology, art and more. Her exuberance is contagious, as she hunts for what excites a person and lets that propel an organic connection to the material. In the spirit of WorldSchooling, she and her daughters spent two months traveling and learned about: Renaissance in Florence & Venice; Roman life in Pompeii (they climbed to the top of Mt. Vesuvius); Modern architecture in Barcelona, Bilbao and Wiesbaden; Art in Paris and Los Angeles as well as a bit of each language. Jessica has an MA in Clinical Psychology to counsel expectant mothers navigating pregnancy, birth and early infancy.
