What is “Scrip”?
"Scrip" is just gift cards and certificates you buy through Village Home. Village is able to get them at a discount as part of a region-wide program. This means the merchants provide Village with money when you buy their gift cards.
How do I order?
You can get the full order form through the link below or at Village Home. You can turn in your order in the box by the office window, or you can send an email with the merchants, card values, and total amount ordered to scrip@villagehome.org. Submitting your check at the time you place the order is appreciated, but you can also pay when you pick up your scrip from the office.

Can I get scrip if I forgot to order?
This year we will be ordering some scrip that you can purchase at the Village Home office. New Seasons, Fred Meyer, Powell’s and Barnes & Noble gift cards will be available after each Village order until they sell out. If you would like us to stock gift cards from additional merchants, send your request to scrip@villagehome.org
What are the benefits of scrip over other fundraising programs?
With the scrip program, Village earns from 2% to a whopping 43% of the value of the cards you buy without you paying a penny extra or buying things you ordinarily wouldn't. With the scrip program, the contribution comes from the merchants. You just do your normal buying using gift cards or certificates purchased through Village Home. It’s a great program with nearly unlimited fundraising potential. This year, we’ve tried to make it easier and more convenient to use. We hope to offer more enhancements and more frequent orders as the use of the program increases.
How can I help most?
Regularly buying your groceries and household items with scrip gift cards is one of the easiest, highest impact ways to make the program work for Village. While other types of merchants and service providers offer great percentages and bring nice returns, it's the regular purchase of gift cards, week after week or month after month, that really adds up.
