We are an FLL Lego Robotics team from the Portland area. Every member of Um… is homeschooled and we meet through Village Home, a non-profit organization for homeschoolers to take classes. There are 7 members of our team: Teddy, Peter W., Jevon, David, Peter S., Eli, and Benjamin. Our name, Um…, may seem a little odd, but there is a story behind it. On the day we were choosing our team name, we were brainstorming ideas for the name. Mark (our coach) was going around the room asking each of us for our ideas. When he got to David, he asked him whether he had any ideas for a name. David replied: “Um…” Mark thought this was funny and wrote it down for a name. The rest of the team voted it through, and now it’s our team name!
