NANOWHISKERS Nanowhiskers are ten nanometers long, made out of carbon, and designed to be flexible. To attach the nanowhiskers to cotton molecules, the fabric is dipped in a tank of water full of billions of these tiny nanowhisker structures. Fabric can be dipped into nanowhisker mix (nanowhiskers mixed with water), then heated to evaporate the water, causing the fabric to bond to each cloth fiber. The nanowhiskers form a permanent chemical bond with the cylindrical cotton fibers. Nanowhisker upholstery are used to repel stains from the Glacier's carpets and seats.
