The presentation is centered on safety for divers, surfers, and swimmers. We have developed the Bite Block 9000 Wetsuit, armor for the sea. The Bite Block 9000 is a kevlar wetsuit soaked in STF (shear thickening fluid silica suspended in polyethelyne glycal). These are then shaped and sized for the different body shapes. I bet your wondering how STF works aren't you? Have you ever mixed up cornstarch and water? That is another form of STF. How they both work is that there are big particles and little particles, the big ones are the cornstarch or the silica. The little ones are the water or the polyethelene glycol. When you apply very light pressure all of the particles have time to get away allowing the object to enter and thus behaving like a liquid. When you hit it fast or hard only the little particles have time to get away and thus acting like a solid. We contacted nano professionals at PSU, we have also emailed ask a nanoscientist with questions and we have yet to get a reply. We have also asked an international inventor for more information about developing the Bite Block 9000. Below is a picture showing how STF works.

This is our presentation on the Bite Block 9000, thank you for reading.
