About the Instructor: Emilie-Rose Currin

As an artist, teacher and visionary Emilie-Rose Currin strongly believes in the value of art programs for all children that gives access to a multitude of creative experiences. Her professional skills in the media arts have developed over the course of my professional career in film production, digital editing, audio recording and in her art practice through experimental film and sound design. She is a classically trained musician and is well versed in the art of composing, as well as both analog and digital recording technologies. My professional proficiency in digital recording programs like Garageband, has allowed me to produce a wealth of original music and soundscape art. While instructing at PSU and currently PNCA, has given her the opportunity to network with faculty, students and the community through the coordination of semester long art courses in drawing, digital film, and Time Arts. She has also created, facilitated and implemented summer art camps for elementary-aged youth and she currently teaches art classes with students in the sixth, seventh and eighth grade at Cascadia School in Vancouver, WA.
