About the Instructor: Liddy Schmidt

Liddy Schmidt grew up in a family filled with teachers and has since began to follow in her mother’s footsteps. She has taught in a variety of settings working with special needs people, inner-city youth from Los Angeles and Portland, ESL students. In 2007, she left California to pursue her work with the Boys and Girls Club organization as their Education Supervisor. She has since married and returned to her love of classroom teaching, and plans to become a reading specialist. She has interests in the outdoors, a variety of different types of art, art history, crafts, cars, food, fitness, water sports and literature. She is also a fan of motor sports, Alice in Wonderland, traveling, religious studies and currently spends her down time doing bead work in various forms.
