Description: In this class, we make delightful treasures. We can needlefelt all sorts of little wonders, make sock creatures, learn to embroider, embellish articles of clothing, make finger puppets with wooden bases, knit wash cloths or bring in any project you would like help with.
Important Notes: Under 8 are welcome with a participating parent.

About the Instructor: Desiree.Simone Barber

Simone Barber homeschools her two children, 10 and 13, in Portland. She has been doing hand work for 37 years. Her German mother taught her how to knit , crochet , embroider, needlepoint, and sew by hand and machine when she was 7 old. She's been learning all her life from patchwork and quilting at age 12 to neeedlefelting at age 37. Simone has been hand making all kinds of items throughout her life and passing on her skills to all interested . She has sewn waldorf dolls, and knitted and sewn doll clothes. Over the years, Simone has also knitted hats and scarves, sewn pants, skirts, and doll clothes, purses, and needlefelted many miniature dolls and animals, and countless gifts.
